A Light Bulb Moment

Courtesy of our Vacation Rental department, there are many unexpected things to be found under the reception desk of our downtown Rehoboth Beach offices . So many things that Andybuythesea (our beach property Sales department) is relegated to a box in the corner, and nobody puts Andybuythesea in a corner, except apparently Vacation Rentals in August!

But hush, listen, what is that questioning rumble I hear from the cheap seats?

Tell us oh vacation rental master, what is stored under the desk?

I’m glad you asked! Amongst the Windex, Chlorox, Ant Traps, Mr Clean Magic Erasers, stain remover, carpet cleaner, paper towels, rubber gloves (don’t ask), plungers, light shades, furniture moving pads, trash bags, vases, sheets, pillow cases, matress pads, pillow protectors, blankets, bath mats, dish towels, oven mitts,  and, yes, light bulbs, what else could there be?

Lightbulb MomentCoffee PotAt this point in the summer season we seem to be collecting, coffee pots. Who knew? Various coffee machines have had various problems and we just can’t bring ourselves to discard coffee pots still with many useful years ahead. However, a coffee pot, sans coffee machine is like, well, beer without a glass. Local bartenders know me well enough to always bring a glass with my beer. I just don’t get the fashionable trend to drink beer out of a bottle. If my Mother wasn’t already horrified enough at ordering beer to begin with, Mother would agree with me on the bottle thing.  Oh, save your jokes about finding me in bars – you get called for backed up toilets on your 50th Birthday and lets see if you skip the bar on your way home, if you can get out of work before the bars close that is!

Anyway, I digress. What to do with all those coffee pots? Ah-ha! Someone had their light bulb moment!

Here’s an idea from Enid!

Do you have any other ideas on what to do with lost coffee pots?

Answers on a postcard please…

Until then, Peace, Love, and Beach Houses, y’all…
