There are all kinds of fun things to do in Rehoboth Beach no matter when you visit, but the holiday season is particularly lively and special. If you’re heading to our Rehoboth Beach rentals during the holiday season, don’t miss out on these incredible Christmas celebrations!

Winter WonderFest

Winter WonderFest has long been one of the most popular Rehoboth Beach events in the holiday season, and once you attend for yourself, you’ll understand why! Admission to this event allows you to explore more than one mile of incredible lights and head through an interactive scavenger hunt on your way. Plus, you’ll be able to journey to Santa’s workshop and create a wish list to give to Santa and his elves! Best of all, you can rest assured knowing that your admission fee will go to a good cause. 100% of ticket sales work to provide affordable holiday entertainment and award grants to local charities.

This event will be running from November 19, 2021, to January 2, 2022, and is open every day from 5 to 10 p.m.

Holiday Theatre

Every year around Christmas in the Delaware Beaches, you can find an exciting and well-performed play. 2021 is no exception! This year, the musical in question is Scrooge!, which follows the timeless story A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Whether or not you’ve read the story before, you’ve probably seen an adaptation, so you’re in for a real treat getting to see it performed live! Get into the Christmas spirit by attending a performance on November 26, 27, or 28. If you’re in town in December, you can attend performances during the first three weekends of the month.

Performances will be held at the Clear Space Theater Company in Rehoboth Beach. Friday and Saturday performances occur at 7 p.m., while Sunday performances are held at 2 p.m.

Santa’s House on the Boardwalk

No holiday season would be complete without getting to see Jolly Old Saint Nick himself! Luckily, Santa’s House is back on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk, so your family can come down and put in your requests for Christmas gifts. Of course, you can also get your picture taken with Santa, and the event encourages donations instead of charging a flat fee. After you’ve enjoyed Santa’s House, you can head down to the Chamber Visitor’s Center for some added holiday cheer!

Santa’s House will be open November 26 and 27 and December 4, 5, 18, and 19. You’ll find Santa’s House at the end of Rehoboth Avenue on the Boardwalk.

Ten homeowners will open their doors virtually during this tour and let visitors in on their incredible decorations and gorgeous homes. A Not So Silent Night

Music is one of the most fundamental parts of the Christmas season, so if you get the chance, we’d recommend attending a Christmas concert while you’re in town. It’s one of the best things to do in Rehoboth Beach with family! This year, come out to the historic Milton Theatre to experience the musical stylings of Christine Havrilla and Mama’s Black Sheep, along with special guest Colleen Clark. They’ll be singing some of the excellent Christmas classics that we all know and love, and they might also throw in some unique songs of their own! Either way, you’re sure to be singing along and loving every minute of it. What better way to get into the holiday spirit?

A Not So Silent Night will be taking place on December 12 at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online for $20 per person.

Holiday Parade

No Christmas season would be complete without a parade! The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting the Hometown Christmas Parade in 2021. Bring your family out to this exciting free event! Participants are expected to come from all around, bringing their floats, holiday lights, and plenty of candy and treats for your family. You might even see Santa himself make an appearance on one of the floats! It just goes to show that you don’t have to be in your hometown to experience an exciting Christmas parade with the ones you love most.

This year’s holiday parade will be taking place on December 6, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Holiday Lights

During your trips to and from your Delaware Beach rental, you’re probably going to see holiday lights up and down every street. However, you’re going to want to make a memorable trip into the downtown area to see the lights at their best! Downtown Rehoboth Beach always gets decorated in some of the most gorgeous light displays you could hope to see, and of course, there’s a giant Christmas tree in the center of town as well! It’s the perfect place to get a picture with your family to remember your Rehoboth Beach Christmas for years to come. Stroll throughout the downtown area to see the local businesses lit up with lights as well.

Best of all, coming out to witness these lights is free! And, since they’re up for the entire holiday season, you can easily fit a trip to downtown into your itinerary, no matter what else you plan to do.
