The place is historic, if you are looking for cookie cutter beach McMansion, this isnβt the place. If you are looking for charm, convienent location, space and relative seclusion you will love this place.

Great house! Really is much more spacious than the pictures show. The hot tub and fireplace were a really nice addition to the rental as we were there during cool spring days. Enjoyed the screened in porch even though it was chilly, there were lots of throws that made the it a cozy place to spend the morning reading with coffee. Easy walk or bike to the beach and town. VERY SWEET π

This house was just as the pictures depict … a charming and authentic historic log cabin. The large great room/dining room provided ample space for a sizable group, the loft offered a nice private getaway for teenagers, as did the guest house out back. We loved the front, screened deck, and the close proximity to town. I would caution that access to one bedroom on the main level is via the master bedroom/bathroom or via another bathroom, so keep that in mind. The kitchen is not big, but functional, and although we had an issue with the refrigerator, it was addressed promptly. Beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was also a big hit. Thanks for a wonderful stay! The management was highly accommodating.

I stayed at the Pines April 9-12 for a ladies get away. I was excited but a little nervous never being to the property but it was fantastic! I will be returning hopefully next year to do it all over again. The master suit is beautiful and the bed is so soft and comfy. The kitchen is just the perfect size. We only used the hot tub once but that was amazing. The place gives a feel of a weekend in the mountains but, it’s even better because your at the beach! It’s also in walking distance of the Boardwalk and shops and a $10 can ride from Dewey.

This house is in a great location – a nice walk to the beach, nearby shops and restaurants! The large living room/dining room area was great for our large family. There was plenty of space for everybody. We enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Planned a weekend getaway with 10 friends while in town for the Dogfish Dash.
The reservation process was super easy and informative. Although the weather wasn’t ideal during our stay, we made lots of use of the hot tub and communal space to play games.
The house is also a short walk to great restaurants & nearby attractions (our favorite – Dogfish Head Pub!).
Why I didn’t give it 5 stars:
– The bathroom situation in the house is a little tricky (you can’t get to the Seahorse Room without walking through the bathroom and/or master suite) and you can hear just about everything π
– The sound & TV system needs some updating as the audio was pretty terrible for both. (However, this factor was only important because we spent a lot of time inside due to weather).
Overall, a GREAT experience!!

The dining area fit all of us and allowed for some memorable meals and games afterwards. The kitchen had everything we needed. The porch was a wonderful gathering area and the hot tub was great for relaxing. The A/C worked well which was appreciated since the temps were in the 90’s. The cabin has a very warm and welcoming feeling and we definitely enjoyed staying there. The rental agents were friendly and quick to respond.

Our family truly enjoyed the quaintness and unique style of this home. You are perfectly located with easy access to the beach, town and the local farmers’ market. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming. Working with Downtown Beach Rentals was a breath of fresh air.
We will be back!!!!

We really enjoyed our vacation at this house. It met our needs for our family with three teenage kids and had all of the comforts of home including games, puzzles, etc. The house is very comfortable and really unique. The fact that it is a log cabin makes it a really unique place to vacation. We would definitely go back.

This lovely little log cabin has a beachy theme, but feels like a mountain retreat. The home is nestled on a wooden lot with many trees, has a cozy warmth, and rustic charm, but is a short walk to the beach. Our family loved every minute we spent there!

Our entire family loved every minute of our stay in this lovely little cabin. It has the feel of a mountain retreat with the benefit of a short stroll to the beach. We felt at home from the minute we walked in and the house is a cozy, historic treasure — very unique.

House was just as advertised. The only oddity is that the only access to one of the bedrooms is through the bathroom or other bedroom. We loved the house and would definitely rent it again.

We loved this house! Our family had a nice quiet comfortable stay in December. We loved the uniqueness of the house. The furnishings were comfortable and the hottub was great. We had a warm day so we sat in the screened in porch and played games. We plan to come back in the summer.
