The place is great except?

By: Trip Date: 07/20/2019

My wife and I along with our dog Jack, stayed here July 20, 2019.
We loved it except when the unusual heat wave hit. It was 95 outside for two days and it hit 80 inside on both days. My wife and I are 75 and the heat really got to us. One day we even took an hour drive just to cool off! The central air just could not keep up with the heat. If not for that I would have given 5 stars.
Douglas Pollock, Pennsylvania

Response: Thanks Doug for sharing your experience. We definately had quite a hot spell when temps with humidity hit 100 degrees. We had many phone calls from guests as air conditioning just could not keep up. This home does have ceiling fans and cool dip in the swim spa could help. Please come back and stay with us again. Best, Andy Meddick, Owner SVR

Great Off-Season Retreat

By: Trip Date: 10/12/2019

We had a wonderful time at this beach house. The house was clean and in perfect condition. It was an easy walk to the restaurants, shops and beach. We enjoyed the swim spa every day. The property manager was very responsive to our questions. Our dog loved chasing critters in the fenced back-yard. I would definitely rent this house in the future.

Quick getaway from Baltimore

By: Trip Date: 06/11/2019

We enjoyed the property with our two college aged sons! It was walking distance from everything and the parking passes were an unexpected treat!

Memorial Day Wknd

By: Trip Date: 05/19/2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past Memorial Day. Our favorite perk of our stay was being able to bring our pups on vacation and them being able to enjoy the fully fenced in backyard and screened in front porch. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

One Week Vacation

By: Trip Date: 06/06/2015

Our experience during our stay was very nice. The weather was great – The layout of the property is very accommodating, especially for your pooch. We all really enjoyed the screened-in porch and fenced in backyard with the barbeque grill. It was very convenient to everything, neighbors were very friendly also. We only had one incident, but was taken care of immediately. I appreciated the quick response. I would definitely come back to vacation at this location in the near future!

Perfect Layout

By: Trip Date: 08/08/2015

This was the first vacation house our family of 7 adults and 1 dog has rented.
We found the layout of this home to be perfect. Bedrooms were set away from entertainment areas. The screened-in front porch area absolutely made the property. We spent every night enjoying the porch with its protection from bugs and nice airflow. The backyard was the perfect size; the fencing all around gave the privacy we desired. The condition of the house was better than we ever expected a rental to be, especially considering that the property is pet friendly.
Although not ocean-front, the walk or drive to the beach was manageable. The parking pass provided allowed us to park in close proximity to anywhere we wanted to go.
The real estate agent and owner promptly addressed any and all issues or concerns brought before them. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Vacation Rental Review

By: Trip Date: 08/29/2015

This was our 1st attempt at a beach vacation. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dog; the walk to the beach was an easy one (even fully loaded with beach gear for 2 adults and a 4 year old)! The house was very clean upon our arrival. We had one minor issue with the grill during our stay and it was corrected very promptly. We would definitely recommend this property to other families – especially those with pets!

Great week in Rehoboth

By: Trip Date: 09/13/2015

We had a great week in this very conveniently-located rental! It was great to have a fenced-in backyard for our pup, and appreciated that the owners allow pets. The location is great – just a quick stumble back from favorites like Dogfish Head Brewery/Distillery and Fins. Also a reasonable walk to the rest of the strip on Rehoboth Ave as well as the beach/boardwalk. The house was also convenient to a short, 5-min drive to Dewey Beach – where pups are allowed after 15-Sep. Who knew that our Midwestern mutt could love the beach so much? All of the amenities that you could want – especially a washer/dryer for those beach towels! – are at the house…we were happy to find a blender as well. Two full bathrooms provide plenty of convenience for the three bedrooms. The screened-in front porch was also a great place to spend mornings sipping coffee and catching up on the latest news or smidge of work emails. Highly recommend, reasonable price. The rental company (Andy in particular!) was great to work with. Already looking forward to next year!

Review of Rental

By: Trip Date: 11/01/2015

I am living in this darling 3 bedroom/2 bath house for the winter. I moved to the beach from DC and love the relaxed way of life here. The furniture is very comfortable; room for me and guests! The kitchen is fully equipped – actually has more appliances than I do.
The weather has been so pleasant that enjoying the screened-in porch has been wonderful.
And – the swim spa may be the best part of the rental.
My only regret is that I’m only here until April.

Enjoyed this Rental

By: Trip Date: 05/14/2016

Our family rented this house in mid May. There were four adults and one child under two plus two dogs. There was enough room for everyone. Loved the fenced backyard for the dogs, the front porch was enjoyable. Everything in this house was as the pictures showed. The house was a couple minute walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, etc, but we liked that. It was away from the crowds at the boardwalk. We really enjoyed this house and would rent it again when we return to Rehoboth Beach.

A Great Vacation!

By: Trip Date: 06/18/2016

I rented this property with my daughter and granddaughter and brought my dog along with me. First of all, the house was immaculately clean when we arrived. I absolutely loved that! The fenced in back yard also had lush green grass, plenty of seating, song birds overhead every day, and the frequent visits of some young rabbits — who, I must say, never took my dog seriously but just crawled back under the fence if my dog came too close. They did it so slowly that I think my dog was seriously offended that the rabbits didn’t seem at all threatened by her.
As advertised, there is a hot tub/spa in the backyard. It was also immaculately clean and wonderfully warm. I should mention as well that a very complete book of everything to do in the area, as well as copies of our welcome letter and contact for the home rental, were left for us on the kitchen/dining room table. Because we are not from the area, this was valuable information for us. The street where the house is located seemed to have about three other rental properties and otherwise is a residential street. All the neighbors were very friendly; I even got to know a few by name. There are many things to do in the immediate area and a million additional things to do in the surrounding area, all within about 30-45 minutes travel time.
In short, I highly recommend this property. It’s not the Ritz, but just a comfortable house that is well taken care of and meets all everyday needs on a pleasant street where nearly every home has a garden of flowers. Hydrangeas were in full bloom everywhere! It is extremely easy to work with this company. They actually answer emails and respond to all your questions in a very timely manner. We are already talking about going back again next summer when school lets out — but this time extending our vacation for another week. You can barely scratch the surface of things to see and do in just one week.

Great Rental

By: Trip Date: 07/23/2016

his is a great little house…I took my nieces and my elderly mother for the week and was extremely happy with the house. I found it very clean and very charming. The front porch was great to sit on at night just to watch the world go by. My small poodle loved the backyard and it was very secure. The location was also great. You were close to the boardwalk and also close to the outlets. Thanks again for a great week.

Happy Guy

By: Trip Date: 10/01/2016

We had a great month at this property. The property was in a great location for walking everywhere in town. The people of Rehobeth could not have been nicer. The house was very spacious for us and our best friend, Jackson, a golden retriever. The town was amazing. The restaurants, bars and boardwalk made the month very memorable. The hot tub and fenced yard were very private. I would recommend this home to anyone who brings their pet. The pictures are representative of the house. The front porch was great for playing games and watching people. We had a great time.

Beach House Bliss

By: Trip Date: 01/07/2017

My stay at 226 State Rd was fantastic. I absolutely love this property. the kitchen is open to a dining room that goes out onto the screened porch. It is perfect for dinners and enjoying the beautiful weather while eating. The swim spa on the back deck is absolutely incredible. The perfect way to end the day is getting into the spa and relaxing. At night when it is all lit up its so pretty. The back yard is enclosed with a privacy fence, so your pet if you choose to have one with you, will be safe and sound out there. There is a grill for cooking outback with a great sitting area on the deck. This rental is one I highly recommend. Its easily accessible from Route 1, and Rehoboth Avenue if you want to go shopping there. Its only a short walk to the beach. It is perfectly located in Rehoboth, so you can go to the beach, go shopping, walk the avenue and go to dinner, or out for drinks. You can walk anywhere or drive if you choose. I’d recommend this property to anyone or any group of people wanting to getaway for whatever reason, work, wedding, or vacation. I’d definitely recommend this to family and friends looking to stay in Rehoboth.

Great Location, Great Yard

By: Trip Date: 06/24/2017

We had a great time. The location was perfect, place was clean. The cleaning schedule was slightly off when we arrived, as the cleaners were there. But we called the team and they explained the situation. Place was in good order and everything worked as expected. Was a great week overall.

Great location, comfortable stay.

By: Trip Date: 07/08/2017

A couple minor issues from being an older house, but nothing major. The place was very comfortable, and a lovely fenced yard for us and our four-legged family member.

Nice location.

By: Trip Date: 07/29/2017

House had a few problems at check in but they were addressed promptly. Would stay again.

Nice dog friendly rental

By: Trip Date: 08/12/2017

Really enjoyed our stay here. Loved the pet friendly option. We brought two large dogs and had not problem. It was a bit of a walk to the beach but close to Rehoboth Ave. After the first day, we used the parking passes and drove down closer to the beach and parked. It worked great. Spa out back is very really an added feature that most properties don’t offer. The area around the property is quiet with not too much traffic. The house itself was nice and had everything we needed. Would stay there again especially if we brought the dogs!

By: Trip Date: 09/02/2017

We stayed here from 9/2 thru 9/16 and had great time, despite at least one of us being ill daily. The home itself was very nice and well kept. There were some minor cosmetic issues, but with one email Mike was over and the concerns were corrected. The swim spa was worth the trip, it was used everyday. The property is very pet friendly. Out pets enjoyed the screened in porch and back yard. I would recommend this property and DBR to anybody who wants to vacation in the Rehoboth Beach area.

Great rental for dog owners

By: Trip Date: 09/16/2017

We loved staying here for the week! The location of the house worked out well as it is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown. The house is a little outdated but sum upgrades would make it 5 star. Loved that we got to bring our furry friend! She enjoyed the screened in porch and fenced in yard. Will defineilty be renting here again when we come back!

Everything you need, and then some!

By: Trip Date: 05/08/2018

Upon entering the property we felt at home. Clean, spacious, and updated. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 1 child. We had our small Yorkie with us and having a fenced-in back yard was a plus! The spa/pool was also amazing.
This property is a great location/convenient for driving to Rt 1 (north and south), as well as walking to the main road in Rehoboth heading to the boardwalk. Cute porch with table set was nice for having lunch and dinner, and for winding down in the evening. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the neighbors are very friendly. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could possibly need.
Highly recommend this property. Dealing with Andy and Mikey at Seachange is always a pleasure. This is our 3rd time in a year that we stayed at a Seachange home and we’ve enjoyed every stay.
Thank you Andy, Mikey, and your team at Seachange for a most enjoyable time at Rehoboth!!

Cozy and well located

By: Trip Date: 08/25/2018

This is our second time to stay at this pet friendly property. Top notch and the swim spa is lots of fun!

This is the 3rd year we’ve stayed and if we come again next year, we will definitely come back.

By: Trip Date: 09/01/2018

Renovations done to the property were really nice. The location is great, the swim spa is great and was used everyday, finally the owners (renters) care about the property and customers. Oh yes, our two dogs really enjoyed their vacation two. Thanks

Coming Back in 2018

By: Trip Date: 06/17/2017

We stayed at this house last year. We are thrilled to be coming back this summer. I cannot believe the renovations done based on the pictures. The management company told us that new furniture was ordered for the back deck. We love sitting out there and grilling in the evening.
