Delaware Seashore State Park

Start out by heading to Delaware Seashore State Park, where you can get acquainted with the history of the area and admire the magnificent views of the water. This historic home was built in 1876 and has been restored to its former glory. You can look upon the interesting history exhibits and admire the artifacts, and be sure to stop by the gift shop on your way out for a fun souvenir to remember your travels by. This is a great way to start your day, as you can take the park at your own pace. The park opens at 8 a.m., so you can get an early start to your adventure!

Rehoboth Beach

Once you’re done at the State Park, take a 15-minute drive down to Rehoboth Beach, where you can spend the rest of the morning enjoying the sun and sand. This public beach is great for the whole family, as the lifeguards on duty will keep you safe as you play in the water or stroll along the shores. Be sure to also walk down the boardwalk to make the most of your time and get some incredible views.

Less than 5 minutes away from Rehoboth Beach, you’ll find Funland, a great attraction for guests of all ages. This boardwalk amusement park is great for kids with its arcade and easygoing attractions, and there are also plenty of thrill rides for the older members of your family. This is a great place to stop and eat lunch or take a break from the water to quench your thirst for adrenaline.

Junction and Breakwater Trail

To relax a bit after your experience at Funland, take a 20-minute drive to Junction and Breakwater Trail. This area used to be a 6-mile railroad line, but it has been converted into a multi-use trail for hiking and bicycling. Of course, you can get your exercise in here, or you can take a leisurely stroll along the trail to get in touch with nature and truly get away from it all.

Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse

Finally, take another 20-minute drive to Delaware Breakwater East End Lighthouse, the perfect stop to end your busy day. This classic lighthouse has been a landmark since 1885, and you can take a guided tour through the inside to get an amazing view of the water as well as an interesting history lesson. This is the ideal slow-paced way to end your day.

You can hit all of these fun activities in just one day with enough time to grab dinner and return to our Rehoboth Beach oceanfront rentals to wind down for the evening. While there are many more activities to be had in Rehoboth Beach, these are a few of our favorite stops, and they are some that you have to be sure to visit while you are in town.
